Stock converter should put down as much "if not more" power than anything on the dyno.

If it's right, it doesn't slip very much.

yeah i only gained about 50rwhp with all that work those heads were supposed to be awesome.....i can say that the tranny is on its last leg as well as the convertor so maybe its losing a lot of power through the tranny....i'm also thinking that the intake manifold i got (weiand aluminum) doesn't flow good so i'm gonna try to get ahold of a ls6 intake and a ported throttle body and a better lid and see what that does

Don't think the intake is the issue, the transmission/converter are the likely source. Did you do before and after, and did they do them exactly the same?

Yeah that is super low, like cam only power especially with a stock converter. I would try an intake swap. I hear those Weiands arent the best.

I don't think those numbers are too bad, your stock converter or trans may be acting up though. Was this on a dynojet or mustang dyno? Locking the converter would also have given you slightly better numbers but if you look at the numbers in my sig and my mods you'll notice that they suck. These are due to a slipping converter and the dyno I was on tends to read very low. Just take it to the track with the stall and find out for yourself those are the only numbers that matter.

I have seen a lot of cars with patriot heads put down less than stellar numbers on the dyno.

I think Patriot heads are very hit or miss... more miss from what I have seen tho...

The intake is also heat soaking like an SOB on the dyno... that is one of the best parts about our cars, they come with compasit intake. Why would you get a metal intake?

Wow, that is super low numbers. A lot of Ms3 cam only cars put down more than that. But I didn't see what your exhaust set up is, hopefully you have atleast some LT's and a decent catback or duals. It just sounds like your combo is all wrong. The bad part about putting on more than one part at a time without testing it, is that you can't pinpoint the problem as easily. And a stock converter will give higher numbers than with a loose one.
