Default H/C on a 105k motor, bad idea?

I am looking to go with a MS4 cam and cnc ported LS6 heads and POSSIBLY a fast 90/90 setup for my TA. The car has roughly 105k miles on it, I am just worried about the bottom end, would it be a bad idea to do this to my motor?

Please explain your answer if you say yes.

EDIT: Of course the valve train will be upgraded on the new heads and I will also be putting in a ported ls6 oil pump and a new timing chain/gears.

This car is my daily driver, I drive alot, probably 300 miles a week. Think this is too much for my DD?

no not exactly as long as this car has been well maintained and you have not abused it...ie oil changes and such....you should be fine, thats not that harsh of a cam....but you could always drop your pan before hand and get an idea of whats going on in the lower end

I didnt install my CNC LS6 heads and 233/239-603TSP cam on my 99SS until I had 95K. Daily driver too. I even kept the original lifters but I did install a new oil pump and timing set. If your budget does not allow for new rod/main bearings, I say go for it. If anything happens, your going to build it bigger and better anyway but do check the compression.

off the top of my head

replace lifters with stock replacement (gmpartsdirect for $125)
hardened pushrods
LS2 timing chain
ported LS6 pump
katech rodbolts

i would highly highly suggest that you drop the motor out of the car to do your swap, its much nicer to work on outside the car, it dosent take that long to remove it and there have been people who have stripped out or broken headbolts off doing head cam swaps in the car.
