Default Rods that handle 1000hp?

Going to run a big turbo and need to upgrade. Plan on running the stock crank, forged rod and forged pistons. What rods and pistons are up to the task?

when i go back into the engine i plan on installing Oliver or Lunati Pro Billet I-beams with L19 bolts. im around 800rwhp right now, and believe it or not, my Scat H-beams with 8740 bolts seem to be up to the task, knock on wood. not bad for a <500$ rod.

as for pistons, im biased to my custom Diamonds

Howards steel rods and Mahle race pistons. Or Wiseco. That's what we use.

+1 on the Scat H's w/ ARP 2000 rodbolts. Our TT 1000hp C6 has these rods in them and dont miss a beat. Another TT C5 customer of ours has the same rods w/ an off the shelf diamond piston in one of our motors doing 1028rwhp on a mustang dyno.

Scat H's are hard to beat for the money!

I guess you'd have to look at the whole picture..how much are GOOD rods? Dyers...or Carrillio vs eagles or scats... how much is it going to cost to make 1000 hp? how much will it cost in damage when one chainsaws the motor in half? Anything can break at anytime but alls you can do is prepare the best for it eliminate as many things as possible...my choices would be the ones I listed......

Lunati Pro Billet, Oliver, Carrillo etc., are all excellent rods and will hold a ton of power if you are willing to spend $1100+....

Manley billet rods are advertised to handle 1200 HP and 8500 RPM. They cost a little less than the Lunati Pro-billet rods.

I have a brand new set of Oliver billet rods for $900, paid $1200 new. The high end Mahle piston gets a lot of praise, but I think they are in the $900 range, they have 2 different series.
