Yellow Valve Springs
One of my springs are broken. I have yellow springs in now. I need a quick fix to get the car back on the road. Could I use my stock LS1 valve spring for now until i can purchase a yellow spring? I think it will be okay as long as I don't rev high.

I doubt it, the yellow and orange are rated 570-580 lift the stock springs aren't designed for that much lift. What size cam? The sticky up top covers the spring info pretty good.
BTW I have a full set of new ones because I put 918's in my 243 heads.

What cam are you running? My concern is that you were lucky that you didn't drop a valve, I wouldn't push it since one broken spring could mean others are set to break.

I just need to replace the one spring so i can get the car to my house for now. I will most likely be replacing them all. I just want to drive the car 8 miles and park it in the garage! lol

If the valve is all the way shut then pull the pushrods to both I & E said cylinder and unplug the coil pack for same cyl. then drive your 7 cylinder LS1 home.
might want to unplug the injector also.

I really think I would stay away from a spring that is quite possibly in coil bind. He still hasn't specified a cam. 7 cylinders is better than replacing the damage of binding IMO.
