wow,i would have never in a million years thought a lunati crank would be lighter than any other crank.i alway's heard lunati stuff was bulkier/heavier but that was on sbc stuff also.

Depends on bore size, compression height (determined by stroke and rod length), etc., etc. but the bottom line is that an "average" aftermarket piston will weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 370-400 grams....a little less than 1 lb. Note this weight does not include the wrist pin which is about 110-120 grams. Stock weighs about 425 grams btw....
