Well, volumetric efficiency changes with manifold pressure and rpm if you look to the tables in the PCM. The VE table is where fueling adjustments are made when the MAF is not referenced (ie - speed density mode). After a SD tune, my bolt-ons '02 Z28 shows a peak VE of about 99% (of theoretical maximum based on cylinder volume) during WOT at peak torque. This is probably 5~7% higher than it was bone-stock from the factory.
Looking at the factory settings for this table in a stock '02 vs. a stock '00 LS1, there's a difference of about 3.6% in the peak numbers. However, the factory defaults aren't always right. So, you'd have to SD tune both cars to see where they really fall. Aside from what the default PCM tables say, I would guess there's a 3~4% improvement in volumetric efficiency achieved from the LS6 intake...stock-for-stock.
