Corvette C5 Vs Mach 1.. Need Opinion Please hi im gonna get as c5 corvette stick of course and i was curious if i could beat my friends mach 1.. im not sure what year prob 04 idk.. its got full exhaust and maybe short throw shifter..
He beat my friends 99 trans am auto.. They raced from i think the t/a's dead spot 45 ..idk.. and the mach 1 won by like 1 car length.. So im curious if i get that c5.. will i beat him ? rumor says he can keep up with C6's but idk if thats just a rumor from just bolt--ons.

Manual Machs are pretty even with a stock Fbody. If you can drive youll most likely win but if you cant drive and he can be prepared to get whopped. This should be posted in the Street Racing section next time.
Yeah a high 12 100 percent stock isnt fast. Befor you even ask it was drove by Paul from PHP in Jackson Michigan.

Alot of misinformation in this thread. Mach 1's are very good competition for stock LS1's period. I'm suprised he only beat your buddy by a car if he was going from that dead spot, I would expect more. From a dig it is a drivers race for an F-body, if you can drive then you should pull him in a Vette, HOWEVER if he has kept up with C6's he's holding back some as those cars can run VERY low 12's if not 11's in stock trim with traction. First get the car then run him. Manuals aren't always faster either! Oh, and AC on or off doesn't matter shuts off at WOT anyway!

i believe the 03 and 04 mach 1's have the same 32 vavle engine the cobras got,and yes their are fast their good compettion. watched a manuel mach few mods beat my buddies auto z28 few mods by a car.
