Default power for 10.9 or 11.2 1/4 runs

What power level are need for a c5 corvette to achive this with Nitto DR's or BFG DR... Which tire would be better for 1/4 runs and aggressive street driving.. Can any of these DR make it safely to 140-160 or more????

Thanks

Both tires are Z-rated and can handle 150+, I'd say 160s are safe. BFGs are stickier, but Nittos last longer. If you don't care about how long they last, look into the MT drag radials. I'll be running 315/35R17 BFGs next year on the street, and an MT ET Street at the track.

My car made 420rwhp on the dyno with the cutout close. Cutout open, I ran a 12.3@118 with a 2.0 60'. Drop that 60' to a 1.6 and add 3.73 gears, and my car is good for mid 11s. Hope to be low 11s with a ported FAST intake next season, should be 460ish RWHP.

Dyno numbers don't mean everything though, depends on the dyno and power under the curve and overall car setup.

to get a stick car like yours in the 11.2-10.9 range i think you'd need a trap speed between 126 and 130. your 60' won't be hellacious without a good tire/susp. setup. and with you sitting on the stock irs and lacking a tire equal to or greater than the m/t DR, i doubt you'd see 11.2 with less.

get your trap speed up to ~130, this should answer your question.

Go to Golenengine web site. They have drag racing calculators you can use for free.

I tried the BFG drag radials on my Z06 and just could not get them to hook very well. The best time I could run with them with about 525rwhp was 11.50 @ 126. This was at a track that does not prep their track well for test and tunes.

I switch to the MT ET Streets 26x 10 and hit the low 11's. I would recommend a tire with a tall sidewall that will absorb some shock from the driveline and give you good traction off the line.

I run my drag radials on the street and the ET streets on the track.

You will need 500+rwhp/500+rwtq, line lock and a CCW drag pack with M/T ET street slicks. My buddy has a 2002 Z06 with a built 402. Makes 490rwhp/480rwtq and he runs 11.1-11.3 @128-129mph with this setup...
