Default A few extra cubes vs Cali smog...

I am FINALLY gonna finish pulling my engine out this weekend. I have an engine building shop close by that will rebuild my shortblock for around $1700 with a 12 month unlimited mile warranty. I have about $5000 in stock that I am going to cash out to pay for this. One of the sponsers here has a 383 short block for around $3400 http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...id=43&catid=20 . My question is will a few extra cubes hurt me sniffer wise? And also, is it worth twice the price? Any advice is appreciated .

To me it's definately worth the extra price but I do not know how much the sniffer out there in CA will like it. The camshaft selection plays the biggest role in whether or not you can sneak your street machine past the man. Slipping somebody a $20 at the inspection place won't hurt any either.
Good Luck
