Default slight blower sound after cam install

I have just a slight wistle that goes up with the rpms. It's not a vacume leak or anything like that. I can't hear it if I have the hood up and rev the engine but when I drive If you listen very closely and it is quiet in the car you can slightly hear it. Very hard to hear but it is very slight. Can't hear it going down the road at higher speeds but just around town. I didn't even notice it but my buddy said he could hear it slightly. Must have better hearing that me. kinda strange the only time i can hear it is when I'm in the car. What the heck is making the sound? The cam is the Comp 228/230 571/573 on a 112LSA

If you've got an aftermarket lid you can sometimes hear the air rushing through it a high RPM and WOT. I could only hear mine before I got headers and when I had the windows rolled down. There's no way I could hear it now. Although, I don't remember it being a whistling sound as much as a wind tunnel sound.

That cam will definitely make your engine draw more air, though.

Many running the bad Futral cams that were eating up their lifters reported a sound similar to what your describing. So the sound is in relation to engine rpm? Stock lifters? I assume the sound was not there until after the cam swap?

I'm running an SLP lid and many others and they make no whistle sound.

i didn't notice it before the cam change but then again I didn't notice it after the cam change till my buddy said something. I honestly can't hardly hear it. I have to really strain my ears and even then I have trouble hearing it. Did the Comp cams have the same problem as the Futral?

Futrals cams are done by Cam Motion, not Comp. I have not seen any reports of Comp having this issue.
