What can I expect from this cam?
I am putting a 237/242 .595/.595 on 112 cam in a '99 SS m6. It does not have ANY other mods except custom Y pipe with !cats and 3" exhaust into stock SS muffler. What kind of power can I expect in that form? Does anyone have any suggestions such as changing headgaskets for a different compression ratio? Headers and spray to come soon.

Looks very similar to the MS3. Did you have this cam custom ground?
I would be willing to bet that you will lose some low end power with that cam and gain more way up top. That is gonna be one choppy cam with a 15.5° overlap. Cam will work fine with nitrous. You might want to look into picking up an LS6 intake for optimal results from that cam. You will be leaving some severe power on the table with that stock LS1 manifold. You planning on running any taller gear with that cam? Daily Driven?
I would have to say with the mods that you have currently listed including that cam, you will be looking at around 380rwhp.

Mods in my sig are not the mods on the car the cam is going in. This is a custom Lunati grind. I am a real dumbass so can you please tell me how you know how much overlap this cam has bc I dont know where to get that number. 4.10's, headers, and ls6 intake are to come but i wasnt going to put that since people are always posting their plans which I rarely see go into effect.

I figured that it was a different setup.
Okay:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take the durations Intake/Exhaust 237 & 242
Add them together for a grand total of 479.
Now take 479 and divide it by 2.
479/2 = 239.5
239.5 is the avg of the two durations.
Now take the LSA and multiply it by 2.
112 x 2 = 224
Subtract 224 from 239.5
15.5° of overlap is the result.
It is really easy stupid math.

He is planning all this stuff right around the same time if not all at once from what I can tell. Every little bolt-on helps a lot though. I cammed my car before I even had an air lid. I think I had a loudmouth with stock manifolds and a cam for the first 2 mods other than the !CAGS. LOL

I don't know how to tell you this, but you should wait to do the cam install. Do your headers and bolt-on's first, then do the cam and LS6 manifold together. That cam could be kinda lazy without installing the gears first, and possibly advancing it 4 degrees.
Would hate for you to go through the effort to put in a cam to get poor results.

that bumpstick will be very slugish until you get all the boltons and raise the scr/dcr.i am not a big fan of the monster cams in small motors on the street because you have to spin them to the moon and you lose a crapload of power below 3k buttttttttttttt= it is hard to beat the power once they reach their powerband
