I'm loving my new G5X3 for sure. And they love the spray from watching some of the local fast cars.

From watching the car hunting for idle at startup, it seems like the loping is more from lack of a tune than from the cam. A good loping cam lopes after the tune. Before the tune almost any cam should lope well.

Maybe it is tuned and it was supposed to have a jacked up idle. If so, I apologize.

that was on a stock tune. I since have had it tuned. It doesn't do the up and down thing but the lope is still there. It just tamed it down a little.

thanks guys, but im completely clueless when it comes to internal mods, basically overall i have some boltons? What cam would u guys recommend to me with just those mods. The only other mods i may include r completing the exhast system. Will my diablo tuner come in handy after the install? But overall what should i go with for a bad *** idle and power gains...thanks

Don't know for sure but you could feel a huge improvement over the stock cam. I will be futting headers on in about a week so that should help the cam work better.

You should probably get some LT's and a converter first, something in the 3200 - 3600 stall range should still be plenty streetable. If you can ride in a car (or better yet, drive one) with a converter to get an idea what it will be like.

Sorry to say, your handheld tuner won't do much for you once you get a cam.

You can get a good loping idle from a shorter duration cam with the right amount of overlap. Many have had great success with the 224/228 cams ground on a 110 LSA. With your auto and stock heads, get it advanced at least 2 degrees, if not 4 and you'll like it. You'll need to replace the springs and pushrods at the same time, and you would be well advised to consider an LS6 Oil Pump and LS2 Timing set also.
