Default g5x3 on waht lsa

what u guys think i should get the g5x3 on 112 or 114? and please tell me why u picked one over the other. on i drive my car maybe 5% of the time. usually if its a nice day or just to the track and back

well whats ur goals with the car??? if you hardly drive it i would go with an ms4 or something in those terms. like i said what kind of power are u looking for?

most power under the curve i launch at abtou 3k-4k and dont want to shift any more then maybe 6500 cuz i got stock rod bolts

112 for sure. Keeps the powerband lower. Mine falls of around 6800 just like I was hoping.

What difference do you see between the two that would make the MS4 better for that? From reading the posts, the MS4 is a great top-end cam if you have the best exhaust parts available. And a lot of the posts talk about losing a lot down low (other than the n00bs who don't know the difference). But if you read, the G5X3 cam keeps nice power down low as well. Maybe not as much up on the very tip top peak, but other than that it seems the general flow of the graphs is that the G5X3 is more well-rounded. Really though, he should probably get a G5X2 for his driving. I see those things do better down low than an X3, and I only see the X3 beat them on the very tip top of the dyno. Heck, I probably should've gone X2, but my tuner preaches X3 for a reason.

im still on that debat x2 or x3 lol only what 2 degress on both intake and exhaust difference between cams

Search. That's already been answered.

What I discovered when installing mine and blueprinting it, the 112 would fit, but would not have the proper clearance, so you should view it as won't fit. But either way, if you aren't milling the heads (which then means you need to flycut), you're wasting your money by giving up horsepower. Just buy a Grand Am and forget it.

Then the cam is not for him. If you don't send a cam to the wall that is meant for it, why would you want power you cant use?

Exactly my point. I knew you'd agree. Just the same as people wanting good heads and a good cam and won't flycut to get optimum compression. STUPID people. I learned my lesson the hard way when I had to shift before my cam even peaked. Now screw it! I'm spinning the nuts off this thing. Rev limiter: 7k.

You also have rod bolts to insure that you won't sling the rods off the journals too.

and there is no way to flycutt the pistons with the motor in the car right? i got a fbody shop that would flycutt the pistons for $130 with the motor out
