Default cam for 99 vette

hey guys!

first off i want to thank you for your time and opinions..

I have a 99 a4 coupe vette with 80k miles on it.

I am looking to do a cam swap, keeping the stock heads. I am looking for some recommendations on cams and valvetrain components.

Here is what I have done to the car thus far.
modified air box w/ k&n filter (tipzie mod)
bassani rear x pipe
hollowed cats
z06 titanium exhaust

Street cam? Track cam? Does you auto have a larger stall on it?

You might want to consider getting a few more bolt-ons before camming that vette. I would say Ported TB and headers would be a good step in the right direction. Don't know what kind of intake manifold the 99's came with, but I don't think that it is an LS6.

You can put a cam in that will be an improvement even if you do not have a stall or headers, but that restricts your choices. Under those circumstances, something like my cam would be an option.

also what kind of stall is recommended....

If you plan on adding headers and the LS6 intake, it is better to add them before (or during) the cam swap. They will influence your cam selection.

also what kind of stall is recommended....
I ran Yank with my previous car. Take a look in the automatic transmission forum. There are a ton of posts on converters in there. An hour or two of reading and you'll have some good ideas.
