Default Tri Armored Rod Bearings???

What are these and what are they used for? My tech is having me use these instead of the new ones that came with my assembly what is the advantage?

Sounds like Clevite bearings to me....if they are Clevite you should have no issues assuming your builder sets/checks the clearances properly (you can get .001 under and oversize bearings if they are a little off).
