Default Best prices on forged crankshaft?

Well I have been looking around, and the best price so far on a forged crankshaft was around $750, PN# 434640006100 , an eagle forged crank. Anyone know places to get better deals on ls1 crankshafts? Building up a new motor and having trouble finding any cranks except eagle for 750 and the callies for a lot higher prices. I know theres gotta be more than 2 companies making these!

Thanks,
Lurius

lunati is one of the best but cost the most. the eagle for the money cant go wrong, but callies and lunati if you have the money is the way to go, made in the usa

Go with Callies crank. With the Eagle, the money you spend balancing it and on heavy metal will add up to about the price of the higher end cranks, which usually don't need heavy metal.

If you're building a 346, save your money.

Will be using nitrous. Not a 346. Got a good deal on a 6.0 block and am building a 408. I imagine 430+ range after the cam and everything else, before nitrous.

Stock crank will hold around 1200fwhp...You are not going anywhere near that sounds like. I have a 6.0L truck crank in my 347. You are not going to need a forged crank. Save your money for something else.

Yea, but the stock crank is 3.622, I need a 4" stroke. I have a stock 3.622" stroke crank sitting in garage now, just cant find any 4".

Is that all you plan to make out of a 408???? Are you just sticking to stock heads and cam on your 408? I would just go with H/C on the 346 and make the same power. Hell it would be cheaper to do that now adays and buy forged pistons and rods. Doing my 408 right im in 8000 just on parts just my 02 cents from previous experience.

Shortly I should have you a new option on low price crankshafts! We're working with a company now that is developing a crankshaft that has awesome quality, and costs less than the Eagle! I'll keep you guys posted, but I'd say it's atleast a month or so out.

Going to likely use a cnc'd head and a TR228 cam.
