The only thing you may regret is not building your drivetrain up strong enough before getting one. I see you have an A4 so you should get away alright with the stock rearend but you may have to get a transmission rebuild eventually once you start getting trouble with slipping and the 2-3 shift.
And the only other bad thing is that bolt on cars will seem slow from now on and you're gonna want more and more power

i have a camaro thats a beast so i bough a TA as a dd and now am thinking of getting a cam for it too.
the only regrets ive heard people have are #1 not getting a big enough cam #2 getting a cam thats not lopey enough or #3 a cam that doesnt make as much torque down low as they where expecting.

I regret not getting it sooner Seriously, as long as you match the cam to your goals, mods, and planned use for the car, I don't find it possible to regret a cam.

you may regret it bc it will put more wear and tear on your valvetrain

On an upgraded valvetrain you will see marginal wear and tear over time, just like any moving parts.

I regret getting a really big cam and not having a tire to go with it.

maybe with a sorry *** tune someone might regret getting a cam because of the decreased driveability but all in all a cam i believe is the best mod you can do to your car.

Make sure you can find someone who knows how to tune the car. Most so called tuners cannot tune or will not take the time to do it right.

I have HP tuners, I'll probably get a wideband to really do it right.

The only issues I have with my cam'd car are the fact that the stock clutch and 10-bolt could let go whenever they feel like it. Just like the valvetrain, there are supporting parts in the drivetrain that need to be upgraded as well.
