Default Texas Giant with MS4 type specs?

I'm putting together a 408 over the winter and was looking at the Texas Giant for a cam. I noticed the large lift numbers on the MS4 and was wondering why not do a big duration cam like the Texas Giant with similar lift specifications, whose design is to take advantage of timing events? Good idea?
