Default How often do you get a tune?

Just curious of how often everyone gets their cars tuned.

I just ordered my LG longtubes and MS3 Cam (complete kit) for my 02 Z06. I currently have a Breathless Performance Vortex intake and Borla Stingers. The car is going to be tuned immediatly after installation by a very reputable tuner who is a sponsor of the board.

I know that my cars driveability is going to change but I was wondering how often I will need to get the car tuned. It is a weekend driver and i'm looking forward to getting some Vid for everyone.

Thanks for your input...

Once its tuned if everything works out your done. Unless you change things later like cam or injectors your tune doesnt "wear out."

Weather can change a tune also. Yes, closed loop cars 'learn' but they aren't perfect.

Weather is my big question. Living in Florida it's either really humid and hot (90 degress+) or a perfect 75-80 degrees. Last time I was at the shop there were a bunch of guys coming in because their cars were running like crap. The only change was the weather. No parts.

I guess I'll find out through trial!

I get a new tune ever day I drive my car to work. Log my commute and upload a new bin for the ride home

You should really only need a new tune after a substantial mod. Although the more mods you have the more succeptible your tune is to climate changes. If you have tuners, and you have an agressive tune, you may want to visit it once a season to compensate for the change in weather.
