I'm a little confused on which Darts they used. They show a head with 202/1.60 valves with a 225cc runner. Dart only offers a 205cc runner with those valves as far as I know. They could also be 225cc's with 2.05/1.60 valves.

Seems funny they did not use the dart 205's. Not preforming well?

No that's not the reason. Search for RWHP gains from the Darts. 30hp over a LS6 head sure isn't bad in my book no matter what they flow- ESPECIALLY from a 205cc port (velocity!)

If you would have read the article, they are testing them on an LS2.

Search for their comments about the Dart as-cast head. It would mean more for you coming from them.

It is confusing, Livernois did the actual test, maybe they can clarify which Dart head was actually tested.

It was a nice shootout but heads are definately not apples to apples.
Chamber size variations, valve variations etc...
however it gives us a nice picture of what to expect.
AFR still rocks with the biggest chamber 66cc (lowest compression).
What can we learn from all this, well we can learn that the magic word is still COMBO.
Cam matching is very, very crutial and not all heads will do well with the same cam.
Tony Mamo still managed 480+ rwhp with a smaller cam (224/228) on a stock 346 (that translates into 552 fhp (15%) driveline loss).
The best comparison in this article is not the Hp figures but the flow figures since they are all on the same bench.

I wonder why they didn't compare the AFR 225's.

The Darts will do better once someone sets up a good CNC porting program.

The picture of the AFR combustion chamber is clearly the 225
