Default SLP Timing Chain to loose???

ok guys I got my SLP DR timming chain in my LS1 tonite and it looks to have way to much slack to me what you do yall think?





Is this accectable or not I'm thinking it is not right.

That looks fine, chains by nature are designed to run "loose", not banjo tight. Besides, what exactly would cause this issue? The sprockets are fine, yes? The chain is new, yes? The chain is has the correct number of links, and is appropriate for your application, yes?

yea this is a SLP timing chain set for a 01 LS1 motor. I got it from speed inc. I sent them a E-mail as well asking the same question. Its just seems to loose to me.

Mine was the same way . It had the same amount of slack as the stock chain . I havn't had an issue with it , has about 1000 miles since install

See my stock chain was tighter then this SLP one.
