Default LSK Lobe ?'s

I've been reading quite a bit on the LSK lobes offered by Comp Cams. I have a few questions for those who are running them.

How many miles are you driving (average month, for example)?

Have you checked any of the spring rates or free length since installation?

Is there a recommended mileage/time interval for spring replacements?

I drive 3000 - 4000 miles a year, and could probably get 2-3 years on a 10K swap interval, which I have seen posted here before. Although that seems pretty low, I would consider it acceptable. I would hate to change every year, and would probably stay with an XE or XE-R lobe if that is the case.

So, who is running these, and what do you think? Thanks in Advance!

I was told by john at TSP that it shouldnt have a problem living 3 years at around 2-3K a year. I also asked him if that spring would have a problem if it see's fewer miles living atleast that long. I dont have the cam in the car yet, but we'll see.

Had some similar questions.

It's either LSK + Dual spring or XE-R and single spring for me, don't know which way I should go.

I'll be running a LSK lobe (trak), with AFR 8019 springs. Shimming the springs to within .050 of coil bind is important.

The LSk is easier on the valve closing side, wearas the XE-R is a litlle more rough, but the LSK has more lift. I can't see the diffrences in spring life being that much diffrent between the 2. I used the LSK on the intake and a solid profile on the exaust.

I've run mine (243/243 LSK) 11k miles as a daily driver since August '05 with no problem. Plan to have springs checked in the next few months.

rpm and driving habits play a big role too. A spring may last 10 - 15K on the highway. It may weaken up and lose tension after a few K miles worth of drag passes.

I put about 1000 miles a month on my daily driver. LSK lobes on intake and exhaust. So far so good.
