Default Patriot Golds- are they direct fit?

I have the comp 918s now but when I first got them in I had half of them break. I have a thread about it. Well so far I have had no trouble with the second set. I'm just nervous so I bought the Patriot Golds. Are these supposed to be a direct fit like the 918 springs? I see they are supposed to be set at 1.800 just like the 918 springs. Those that have the Patriots, was it easy to install them or do you usually have to get differant shims? Mine came as a kit with the springs, retainers, machined locks and spring seats and seals

That's great. You have the exact same cam I have. So you just used the shims or spring seats that came with the springs?

yeah they come with spring seats and you need to use them. All the spring seats do is keep the spring from digging into the soft aluminum heads.
