Cam install, how to verify lifters are good?
Well I just swapped cams. Two issues:
I had a bit of trouble getting a 5/16'' brake line in one side so we used a coat hanger and spun the cam really good. I was able to get the cam out and switch it without much trouble.
First issue: How do i verify that none of the lifters collapsed? I think i am good but just want to make sure.
Second issue: My new cam is a bit hard to turn, i think it is from all the assembly lube we put on it, is this normal? I didnt really notice it but my friend did and I will agree it is a bit harder.

Lifters won't collapse from swapping the cam. If you were careful with the cam bearings, you should be fine. Degree it, set your preload then turn it over by hand, make sure all the lifters and rockers are moving correctly and you should be good to go.
BTW, assembly lube is not neccessary on a roller cam. Coat it well with oil and slip it in is all you need.
