how to port heads
Hi everyone i was wondering about porting my heads myself i have some experience porting i have ported my two stroke and ohter bikes but would it be possible to port my heads myself and what tools would i need to do it. Any information would be helpful ohh when i plan on doing this am putting headers exhaust and cam on my car so this wont be the only thing iam doing to it thanks guys

Best piece of advice I can give you..........You HAVE to get a junk head or two to practice on first. The main areas you need to focus are the rocker arm boss in the intake, blending the valve guide areas on both sides, and blending the bowls into their respective seats. If you can do those things pretty well, you will pick up about 20whp with a cam. The rest of the tricks come in pushing out the curved and runner walls, valve jobs, valves, and little knick knacks. Those are all things you can learn through trial and error on a flow bench, but it takes a good while. If you have any specific questions, shoot me a pm.
