Default SES Light is On!

I just got the car a few days ago, and put about 60 or so miles on it, then all of a sudden.... the SES light comes on! Auto Zone ran the scanner and came up with a P0300. I have a TR224 cam, though I am not sure when it was installed and how properly it was tuned. Have you all had this happen to you after a cam install like the TR224?

P0300 = "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected"

Could be a few simple things like plugs or wires.

Do any "tuners" know if the TR224 w/o a tune would trip misfire codes?

My SES light has been on for three years... If it turns off, then there's something wrong.

If your SES light is not blinking your OK. If it blinks shut her down immediately. Misfire codes are fairly common on LSx engines, reset the computer to clear the code and see if it comes back.

You should have the car tuned. Leaving the light on is ignorant. Even highly modified street cars benifit from a SES that works as intended.

If you go 3 consecutive drive cycles with out the computer detecting an eradic idle speed it will go out on it's own. I have the 224 as well and have no SES light for about 6 months then it just came on yesterday with the same code 0300 I am also untuned.

Look here to better understand whats going on....http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...hreadid=178439

Mine blinks from time to time. No need to stop driving. It's just my shitty spark plug wires.

Mine comes on with an F13 on a stock tune, just something inherit to some cams. Should be eliminated with a good tune.
