buy heads or port stock heads?
what is the lowest costing and which would make more power...porting stock heads or buying aftermarket heads?
my goal is to get over 450+ rwhp...would be nice to have at least around 500 at the flywheel. with my cam, mods, and tuning i am well up to at least 410 at the motor.
i figured the best way is to buy a set of bare castings, such as the dart ported heads, and build them my self.
what would i need to do to achieve that goal?

if you're looking for 450+rwhp, i'd say that you should spend some money on aftermarket heads. what kind of cam are you going to use with it?, i think you're going to need a fairly large cam to make your goal.

my cam is a comp 236/244 .580/.580lift on a 112. in a stock motor it put down 390 at the wheels...well over 400 at the motor.
