Default TFS Heads, FAST and ECS Cam Install Pics

Well, the install is underway. Here are some pictures of my install and the pile of stock parts on my service cart. So far so good, nothing has gone wrong and everything is on schedule. I'm really taking my time with everything and some things are just a two man job plain and simple. As you can see below I've got my new cam in and the heads are off. I'll be cleaning the bolt holes and the block decks tomorrow. Next weekend my buddy Chris Marsh will be rolling down from Dallas in his Bentley Turbo GT (heh) to help me finish up this install and do some street tune'n and then some dyno tune'n if the clutch holds.

Great pics. I've been thinking about doing this upgrade. More pics would be great as you make more progress.

what did you use to clean the decks? Ive heard plastic ice scraper. havent tried anything yet. been too busy to get out in the garage till tomorrow. thats next in line to get done, then its on to notching the pistons.

Just using a standard 3/8 fuel disconnect tool. I disconnected at the line rather then the rail. Seemed easier to me.

I used a gasket scraper to carefully get most of the graphite/paper off. Then I block sanded lightly with 800 to get anything off that didn't want to come off so that I didn't gouge the deck surface occasionally helping out with some brake cleaner. Then I used my wet/dry vac to clean up any fluid or particals that was left, then I wiped down the bores and sprayed everything down with some light machine oil to prevent any type of corrosion. Now, when I apply the gaskets, I'll put them on dry and clean the deck once again but probably use rubbing alcohol. I'm going to get after the bolt holes later this week.
