Default Fix My Car Please!!!!!!!!!!

Im havin Way to much trouble with my car and now im at the point of guessing as to how and fix it, so any help would be greatly appreciated..

Mods...
Pacesetter Headers and Off road Y
TCI stall
Comp Cams 231-237 589-595 112 lsa
Comp hardened 7.4 pushrods
Comp Oer Lifters
Patriot Valve springs
LS2 Timing Chain
LS6 Oil Pump
Mobil One 5-30
..............................
Problems....

After getting the car back together i realized th oil pressure was low
20 at idle 30ish driving... This made some the lifters collapse< im assuming> after about 3 miles, stop the car and let it idle for a while they pump back up and stop ticking

SO i get maybe 5 miles on the car like this

SO i tear the car back down and we had left off the o ring for the oil pump pick up tube , Well i am now thinking the problem is solved....

Oil pressure is much better now < 40+ at idle, 50ish driving 60+ WOT >
The car did just like this for around 100 miles....

Then last night i stop and put gas in the car and leave it runnin,
WHen i got back in i noticed the oil pressure had dropped to around 20.

I get going down the road and the pressure goes only to about 30 and about thirty seconds later hear comes the lifters ticking again>>>

What could be causing this, i am about to tear the car back down and put it back stock, but i still dont think that will solve my oiling issues

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

i doubt it, is it a ported pump? If not then that is most likely the reason for the low oil pressure.. Check out Texas speed for there ported LS6 oil pumps.

I had similar problems when I put my first cam in. When I was changing the timing chain and oil pump I pinched the O ring slightly. Everything seemed fine until I went to the track. After a few passes my oil pressure went down to about 20. I ripped it apart, put a new O ring in it and everything was back to normal. It's really easy to screw it up so take your time and watch it very close when you install it.

I would say it's probably a pinched o ring.

Also did you torque the cam retainer plate bolts? If they back out it will lose oil pressure.
