Default Anyone? Photos of ARP studs & head install

As it says, does anyone have photos of their ARP studs and head install that they can post up that shows how this can be done on the 4th gen with the engine in place?

What exactly is your question in the process? Are you just worried about getting the heads on once the studs are in? If so, it may look like it could be hard or impossible, but it's quite the opposite. There is actually plenty of room to get the heads on without a fight.

No need for photos, just do it. I had no problems with my head/stud install in the car.

It's not a question that I have. I have a set of ARP studs and the guys who are going to do my head install are somewhat skeptical that it can be done with the studs w/o dropping the engine. I thought it was a PITA when I did my valve springs and rocker arms. I haven't done heads so I have no authority on that matter.

In their experience, Corvettes aren't a problem, f-bodies are a problem.

I've seen that written around here too. How does that old saying go? You can't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.

Anyhow, I know lots of guys make a photo or video records of their engine work on this board and just thought it might be helpful to see it.

Thanks

There should be absolutely no problems at all.

If these mechanics need a writeup , give them this...

You can put the heads on the car then put the studs in. Thus making it no harder than using head bolts. No reason to put the studs on first then the heads if you have clearance issues.

That's the thing, there are no clearance issues. It may look like it, but there are none.

No hearsay here. I've done it. There are no issues that I came across in my 02'. The heads go on and off fine with no interference.
