Default Does a 6.0 lq4 have a different harmonic balencer than ls1?

I have a 6.0 lq4 in my 99 Trans am, I am geting a wierd vibration coming fromt the motor, i rembember my engine builder telling me that he used the stock ls1 balancer instead of the damaged 6.0 one? My question is are they different?

all the stock 4.8, 5.3, 5.7 ls1, 6.0;s are internally balanced, the crank pulley doesnt even have a keyway so it can go on in any position and you should be fine, it is a crank pulley/dampner and has nothing to do with engine balance

I think the offset for the belts are different depending on vehicle. For example, the vette balancer is different from fbod.

I do not want to raise bells but you mentionned "damaged" balancer and the " vibrations"
Was the crank checket for any damage, or bearing dammage before re-install?

It is possible those are crank vibrations, I would get the crank pullet stobe lit to read any wobbliness, to see if it is pulley or crank related.

IF the pulley was damaged, there is a good chance the crank was also damaged.

a truck accesory is different then a fbody one. you will need to use a car one on a 6.0

You use the peripherals from the car it is in.

Update: the 6.0 balancer that was damaged was just the rubber peice, it was coming out. ive had the crankshaft checked when i had the motor out.
