like the title says, can you do this with any problems?

yup no problem, i had my ported 241's on my 5.3 s-10, ran them for a year and just got done swapping in a 6.0 short block

the 241's on the 5.3 ran fine,

what kinda benefit do you see with ported 241's on a 5.3 in lets say a tahoe?

i am not saying any benefit. i can get a good deal on a set of ported 241's for my gf dads truck that we are going to be doing heads and cam on. its cheaper for us to buy these 241's now with all the work done rather than put all that money into the 706's.

Everyone think ported 241 and a TSP 224 581 would make good power?

what about stock 853 heads, any benifit over stock with an after market cam?

241s will have a bigger bore, so just be careful not to run valves bigger than 2.02s. Otherwise they will be shrouded and negate any true flow benefits. Also some milling is on order to get compression back to where it was.
IMO, running stage 1 or stage 2 5.3L ported castings is more benefitial

Does the actual chamber overlap the bore creating a mushroom cap spape? Dosnt seem beneficial to have energy reflected back towards the head...

It is not a big issue unless with certain bigger valve size, you can run into valves running dangerously close to bore and the shrouding effect.
