plenty of room, .150 is safe. but only go as much as you need. if this is a n/a motor you will be okay, nos or fi motor, i wouldn't go as deep.

The reason I ask is because I have some 5.3L heads. They make great power. With a TSP 224 cam they pushed out 410 rwhp @ 6100 and 350 rwtq @ 3100. The only problem is that one of them has a crack in chamber #5 on the driver's side.

Ive had 40k plus miles on .125 deep. Typically, we cut .080.
