Default G5X3 plus SLP 1.85 rockers....Problems?

Hey guys, I was pondering the idea of adding a set of SLP 1.85 rockers to my current G5X3 cam to get a more LSK'ish lift out of it...

My current springs are ETP "PSI" springs rated to .650 lift. My current head setup consists of ETP 215 at 59cc with .040 gaskets. Clearances are: .140 intake/.225 exhaust.

Will I have a problem with PTV or will this be ok?

Any opinions if this is a good idea?

TIA!

Too much lift and acceleration rate to run 1.85's on that cam.

It will make it more aggressive. I personally, would try it. Thats an Off the record of LGM comment But I like to take risks. If I break it I rebuild it. As a result, you, the customer, gain from my results

Any other options on getting more lift out of the cam? Do we have a 1.8 rocker arm available to us?

Thanks for the comments Louis...How do you think this would compliment the setup? Do you see it being mediocre or a noticable improvement? Any thought to what other tuners are doing with their cam profiles and the LSK lobes?

TIA!

Give me a rundown of the entire package, bolt ons and what not and we can go from there.

As I sit here, I think of what I can test it on. I knew I was crazy, I just forgot

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=etp+ls7

Read that thread. When we swapped heads, I swapped rockers so that the LS7 side was not getting a benefit from the added lift/duration of the 1.8 over the 1.7

Let me know if I can help

Louis

Vararam/Halltech airbridge/Ported Fast 90/ported LS2
LG LT's pro offroad/B&B PRT's
ETP 215 at 59cc/.040 Cometic/G5X3-114
Meziere EWP

I'll give the link a read....I was just curious of the increase in lift and how it would effect the valvetrain and power....

TIA

Well, you can calculate the increased lift. That's easy enough. Should be interesting to say the least. Update us, please. I might try it sometime.

Well with the Harland Shop 1.8 rockers my lifts will be: .635 intake/.645 exhaust....Anyone else have any insight/opinion on the change in geometry?
