Default A motor and trans out of a car, maintenance?

This is a dumb question I've never had to deal with, but, a factory motor with all accesories and buttoned up. How long would something like this sit in the corner and still be "startable"? What kind of maintenance would I need to do to it?

Might be buying a 42~43K mile 01 motor, 6spd and accessories for a project, but it's not going to get started for at least a few months.

I had a 99' LS1 sitting for 9 months.. had problem with the oil pressure.. I would suggest changing the O-Ring and Pump at a min' as long as you can get to it right now.

Depending on how **** you are, you could go as far as removing the spark plugs and shooting some oil in the chambers, then turning the engine over to keep the cylinders well lubed. But really, a completely sealed engine should be ok for a few months.

It's a fairly local eBay deal and I did shot the seller a few questions with how long it has been out, his maintenance logs, ect. So...still waiting to hear back.

Should be fine if sealed as mentioned. I'd spary something inside the cylinders to prevent rust, but that's about all I'd do.
