Default Have you had cop issues w/ cam, lts, ory?

I just cammed my car with a torquer 3 111 lsa. I started it up for some people yesterday, their jaws dropped and they said im gonna get busted no question.

Ive run open cutout on an lt1 for one year w/ no cop issues, have done lts & ory on an ls1 for almost a year with no troubles but I definately think I am in danger territory. I have a dynomax bullet as a muffler which doesnt do much. Just wondering if you people with similar setups have had issues with the 5.0 for excessive noise, no cats, etc.

My plan is ride it as is and if i have trouble, swap catbacks with my camaro which has a slp dual/dual and a cutout and ill probably get an electric cutout for it.

This is what we are working with, btw:

I live NEXT to the police station and I am going to have LT's, ORY, Loudmouth w/a bullet, and a 226/230 cam with a 108LSA. Hopefully they're all deaf over there.

I have two police officers that live 5 houses down and they have never given me problems. Same for on the street. As long as you don't hot rod it to draw attention to yourself you should be alright. Just depends on Johnny Law's mood, I suppose.

I tend to pull into my neighborhood with the C/O closed out of consideration, though.

...and how about that T3 idle... it just spews attitude.

it probably depends on the area you live in and how many complaints the police have recieved.i live in the woods and drove my 406 sbc everywhere which had 3 inch duals dumped and it was very loud and had cops behind me multiple times and never got pulled over.but if you live in a big city with alot of ****** around the noise law may be enforced more strictly.

I doubt you'll have any trouble. I'm running a TR 230/236 with an ORY (had cats, but they're empty now) and a Hooker catback. I've never had a cop mess with me at all.

What I'm curious about is how difficult it is going to be to get it inspected. It isn't throwing any codes, but all you have to do is smell it to tell it's not legal. If you walk behind my car while it's running, you'll smell like gasoline until you change clothes and take a shower.

I have an F-13 and ORY and Electric cutout... I have gotten pulled over 3 times since the cutout install and all three times with the cutout open (2x for racing and 1x for illegal turn...) I have never gotten a ticket for anything on my car (or the offense) but cops around here love american muscle. My car is too low and my hood is too high... never a problem.

I only received an exhaust warning one of the times. I always close the cutout when the cop gets out of his car... seems to work.

I think It depends on were you live. Me and my friends run with LT, Cam, ory, and cut out all day long and don't get any trouble.

lol why not jsut start another thread instead of hijacking this one? a new thread with a title aimed at your question will be much more successful than hijacking this one. not tryin to be a dick but youre question will be answered better in its own thread.

I haven't had any problems either. But when I do see cops, I try to keep the sound as subdued as I possibly can, but the cars alot louder than most even when I stay outta the throttle.

I have had compliments from cops on how my car sounds. You know that they are not out to get you unless you are ******* around and up to no good on the streets.
