I'm installing a heads and cam on my buddy's 98 Z28 and he does not have an intake so i was woundering if the BBk SSI intake would be better than the LS6 intake, I was also wanting to use the 80mm BBk t/body if i was to use the bbk intake, if any body has tryed the BBk intake please pm me on results.

The BBK is not a popular intake. The LS6 with a stock ported throttle body will be your best bet and cheaper.

I just put on BBK intake and BBK TB, the TB sucks *** and dont buy it, the thing doesn't idle correctly. The Intake itself is pretty cool that you can take all the bolts out and then remove the intake. Fuel rails suck *** and get in your way, make sure you have different length sockets/extenders and that should be loads of help, get rid of the crappy bolts on the fuel rail and replace them.

There was a piece missing in the back of the intake (bought it from someone here on these forums) for some hose, don't know if I need it or not but I rammed a pipe in there and put the hose on it. Also had no instructions so just to let you know, the rear passenger valley bolt needs to be replaed with a button head bolt. It looks pretty sweet too.

Tell him to save up for a fast 90/90. Otherwise the ls6 can be had cheaply and then you can port the tb yourself.

It is hard to outdo the LS6 intake. Find one used and it's a good hp/dollar value. Bob

Like the others said, LS6 is the best bang for the buck. Fast 90 + NW 90 TB for high end.
