Default Thin Head Gasket Issues? (.020 proximity)

I have read over several threads and heard of some people having trouble with the .030 gaskets. I was going to go with an even smaller gasket to achieve my desired compression ratio. Anyone know where I can find these and any issues with such a small gasket size? I checked AFR and it does not look like they carry these.

well your piston might be a little close to the head, sounds like a really tight quench.

Depending on how far your pistons are out of the hole, you might be setting them up for an love tap.....

if i rememebr correcly .024 quench is the absolute minimum

correct, piston to head clearance would be an issue. i would not recomend going any tighter than .030.
