Exclamation 528ci LS1!!!!?????

A guy here in my home town claims to be building a 528ci LS1 style engine. He already has a Darton block (so I'm told) 427, LS7 heads and intake built by HPE. I don't see how they can get this much displacement out of a LS1 style engine. Is this posable? Is there cranks, pistons, and blocks out there that can go to the size? I'm just curious so I thought I would post a thread about it, I've done a search and the biggest CID that I have seen in these engines is 456. Thanks for any info!

I just remembered, didn't SAM (School of Automotive Machine) build a big cubed LSX engine?

Pretty sure that's not possible... yet. Once the tall deck Warhawk and LSX blocks are out I'm sure that will be possible.

This guy is blowing a lot of smoke up your ***. Just like my old service manager at the dealership I worked at had a 7 second Monte Carlo but no one ever saw it. Lame. People need to stop bragging themselves up for bullshit reasons.

maybe he's trying to be like this:

http://videos.streetfire.net/mostdis...0a00f132ff.htm

sounds almost identical to what he's talking about, but it's not an LSx style motor.

it could be a billet crank, deck plate motor, with enough money you can build anything.

It would have to be a big block. Currently there is no feasable way of creating that many cubes with a LSX block. There's not enough bore or stroke avalible, even if he did have a tall deck block.

Tell him to post about it on here. I'm sure it would be an entertaining topic

The way this guy is, he dosen't worry about feasablity sometimes. Speaking of beasts, when is yours going to be running again?

With the LSX or Warhawk, might be possible even though they are rated for less than this.

Hey man, didn't even recognize that it was you posting. Who is this guy? If he's local, maybe I know him? As for mine, hopefully I can finish up with tax money. I'm just scared about tuning at his time with this intake. Seems some are having lots of trouble.

Never mind, I know who your talking about. Garret or Jacob? Have you talked to Stephen about it, I'm sure he'll know anything there is to know.

For anyone who cares, if this guy were talking about says he's doing it, he's probablly bought a way to do it. I called BS at first as well, but with this guy, I don't know. He probally has a ERL block with longer than a 4.500" stroke if I had to guess. It would have to be a 4.250" x 4.650" to get 528 cubes.

We all know that he (Garrett) has the means to do just about what ever he wants. About talking to Stephen, those guys really don't care for me so that's why I thought I would ask on here to see what info I could come up with.

Gotcha, didn't know there was some tension between you guys. I'll talk to Stephen and see if he comes up with any info. To answer the question though, these wil not be shelf parts. It would have to be T-totally custom even by tall deck standards. Bore spacing won't allow anything over 4.250 safley, so he either had to go taller than the tall deck or longer than the longest stroke. Either way, it would equal BIG oney, and I'm still not completly sure that it's possible. More of a uncharted territory thing....
