Default Help~Head and cam combo

I have a 2000 ss, basic bolt ons, LT's, lid, underdrive pully, slp Y-pipe, 3"borla.
This year I am going with a head and cam package and the performance shop I deal with is recomending:

1) Patroit Performance ls6 stg 3 heads
2) Lunanti Voodoo cam 282/288 duration
3) Fast lsx intake 90mm

I think I could go with this set up

1) PP ls6 stg 2 heads
2) Voodoo ls6 step-up cam
3) fast lsx intake~ not sure if I need a 90mm or 78mm

I actually don't want to lose the streetablity of my car, especially in the low end, and don't really want to lose much of the idle, but want over 400rwhp.

I need advise on these set-ups, hopefully someone has a similar set-up, and I'm also open to other ideas. Please let me know if there is something else I need to add/change when doing a H/C change on a 2000 ss.

What should I use for tuning?

I don't know the exact conversion, but a 282/288 is around 233/239 @ .050".

This cam is going to give you less streetability and low-end torque than a smaller cam.

A very good tune from a reputable shop and a ported FAST 90/90mm TB will help with the low-end torque #'s, but if you want to maintain great driveability and torque then you should probably go a little smaller.
