Default How many HP stock LS1 can handle?

just wondering how many hp would stock LS1 engine can handle. i heard that if you come to 500rwhp, you will need a new block or you will blow the egine. is that true? i see terminators can handle 700+rwhp on stock motor.. and i am wondering how LS1s are..

thank you..

actually... stock bottom end is good for 550-600 rwhp, stock block is good for 1000+rwhp, they are pretty strong.

You know there's a lot of parts in an engine right?
You know that different parts can handle different power levels/ loads right?

Stock block = 1000+
Stock crank = 1000+
Stock rods = 600-650ish
Stock Pistons 500-600ish
Rod bolts = effected by load and rpm

This is assuming a correct tune, as detonation or preignition can adversely effect some or all of these parts. Going FI or NO2 will alter your air-fuel ratio when in use and will create more cylinder pressure, so they are more sesnitive to the tune.

People have gone beyond the HP levels I listed on stock parts, but there are always exceptions to the "rule". Likewise people have broken these parts on less HP than listed here.
