Default Ka-boom! Nitrous Mis-hap Pics

ok so i've been tellin everybody about hte trans am i bought for 3250. the guy who owned it before me was my old legal gaurdian. he was a lil nitrous crazy and here's the result. more pics when motor gets pulled. oh well aside from this i have a brand new tranny and the car is in pretty good shape.

fyi those are cylinders 1 & 2. nitrous line came from the back to 2 blue cylniods and straight to airbox no secondary fuel line and whats in the airbox is all there was

actually i have the intake it dont look bad. he said he had the rev limiter set over 7400rpms. it was completely stock so im sure it was just stupidity. im not familiar with nitrous but thats not everything thats supposed to be in the airbox correct?

holy crap...7400?! I thought putting mine at 6800 was extreme! he might have just over-revved. I guess it wasn't a nitrous backfire then huh?

nope. bent 2 valves other then that the heads are even fine. i had them checked out and i was told that they were completely re-useable.

Exactly how stock? Stock valvesprings? You need some serious valvetrain mods to spin 7400, not to mention your rod bolts and other aspects of the rotating assembly become a liability at that speed... Damn. Good luck with the car's reconstruction.

Its a dry kit. thats how its supposed to be connected..LOL The MAF computes the fueling.

the motor going is more likely due to him spinning the crap out of it, then the nitrous....
