Default Need Help!

I just got done putting my brand new ls1 long block in the t/a but i noticed after the fact that there was a plug where the dipstick should go. Before I could figure something out the guy I was working w/ pounded it down into the pan. I borescoped the engine and I know the plug is sitting on top of the first baffle/plate in the pan (under the windage tray). I cant get to the damn thing but I really dont want to have to peel the pan/ pull the motor again. Think it would be ok or should I just get it over with ?

Of course you need to pull the pan and get it out, would you want it slamming around on your moving internals? Quick way to destroy your new engine. Did you think you could leave it there and everything be OK?

If it were my car, I wouldn't risk the new long block. I know it's a pain in the ***, but you gotta do what you gotta do. One thing I would do though is smack the guy that pounded it in there the first place.
