Default AFR 225's

What is the smallest chamber (milled) you can get out of a set of AFR 225's?

Depends on bore size....

We have a 225 with a 3.900 bore (P/N 1660) that starts life at 65 cc's and can easily be milled into the high 50's (but not as desirable for a big bore engine because of the smaller chamber diameter).

Our 1630's start life around 72 cc's and we try to encourage people not to mill them much lower then 65-66 cc's (negative impact on flow) and our 1610's which STILL aren't available yet but is one of the next Engineering "things to do" will start life at 62 cc's (with a 4.125 bore diameter) can also be easily milled into the mid/high fifties.

Honestly though, my advice is to build your combination around the 72 cc version which is readily available and have been proven to be very effective on the flowbench as well as the dyno. It's only a piston choice away....Diamond and other sell domes to fit our heads in the event you are building a small motor and trying to use the 225 large chamber with a higher static CR. Diamond digitized our chamber so it should fit like a glove....

Good luck...

Tony
