Default GMHTP LS2 Head Shootout - Now in easy-to-compare graph form courtesy of PianoProdigy

I was looking at this article and found it pretty much worthless since they didn't take the time to overlay the dyno charts. During my 8 hours of TV watching on Sunday (football, football, 24), I decided to throw the results into my dyno comparison spreadsheet.

Enjoy!

Good stuff Alan. Those TFS really shine from 4500 on up.

Default no ringers.

READ that article very carefully. Some heads were handworked more than others when they arrived. That MAY or MAY NOT be the way you'll get them.

I also thought that the low end torque was missing. But look at the size of the headers used, 1 7/8 compared to what most people use of 1 3/4. Also, I've seen that most of the people that make good power down low and overall with the AFR's have had them milled an run a thinner head gasket (0.040") to get the dcr up to better levels.

Thanks for putting this together. Once again it shows that a h/c package is more than just slapping together some parts. It really is a combination of all the parts being matched correctly.

I still haven't figured out which Dart heads they ran, the article states it was the 225's, but the specifications and valve sizes are the 205's. Didn't make any sense to me and if the results are for the 205's then they aren't as bad as they appear.

where are the l92's #'s
compared to that first series of head testing, i believe they then dyno'ed the l92's on the same engine in the following issue on the same ls2 engine, with same cam.
thanks for the graph
