Default Part Number??

Do cams have a part number engraved/stamped on them? If so where? I am trying to see if a cam is in fact a z06 cam and not just another ls1 cam.

Measure the lobe base circle. If less than 1.553, then it is not LS1

yes there should be some numbers on the end of the camshaft should be a 4 digit number which ussally is the last 4 of the GM part number

LS6 camshaft (from 01 Corvette Z06) = 12560950
LS6 camshaft (from 02-04 Corvette Z06) = 12565308
