Default ported ls1 heads vs ls6 heads

I am thinking about getting my heads ported as well to go with the torquer 2 cam, but i wanted to know how much horse power the ported ls1 heads will gain and then how much the ls6 heads will make and what should i do. Is it really worth the hassle and the money to buy the ls6 heads or not?

Call TSP and talk to them about their very reasonable CNC heads. They have the 853, 243, and the 5.3L heads all with CNC programs. They should be able to help give you the technical info you are looking for.

Check out the very affordable LS6 specials from the likes of PRC, patriot and livernois. There no reason to stick with ls1 heads when the ls6 are this affordable.

From what I've heard, LS1 heads have limited porting potential due to thin walls. I would not waste time or $$ porting them.
