I need some help making a decision on a heads and cam package. I am leaning towards the PRC heads and MS4 cam but afraid of losing too much low end and having to spin it too high for it to perform. I was also suggested by TSP to check out the MS3 with the PRC 2.5 5.3L heads. I'm still pretty open to suggestions. I hear Patrick G is the man on this stuff so if he would chime in that would be great. First I will give you a little background on the car. I have a 1998 Trans Am M6 with appx 55,000 miles. Not a daily driver. Mostly a street strip car. More street than strip. Have the following mods: I have aftermarket ram air on it, 4.10 gears, aluminum flywheel, a Magnaflow catback with pacesetter coated headers to ORY to a electric cutout, with an LS6 intake and ported throttle body. Those are the only mods that would have influence on this. My goals would to be around 450hp and 400tq which is not as important as performance. I would need it to perform well on the street since this is where I spend most of my time. I would like it to be a high 10 to 11 sec car NA. It would be great to keep this under $3,000 as well with all the supporting parts needed including an underdrive pulley and belts. Thanks for your help.

I am looking to get either a set of PRC 5.3's or their LS6's as well and am planning on a custom grind cam. I will most likely go with a 228/234 .639/.598 LSK/XER cam on 110 LSA. It is basically a compromise between Pat G's torque cam and the TSP Torq V3.

There is enough suggestions of that kind to fill the National Archives.
So for street/strip pick something in the low 23x duration area on intake.
