I bought some valve springs recently.. they are behive with an orange stripe on them. I am told they are 03+ LS6 springs with a max lift of .580..

question #1.. does the above seem right?

question #2.. what retainers can I use with these? will stock LS6 or LS1 work? or do i need some other type.

The stock retainers will work with the valve springs. I am not sure on the color code though. The LS6 springs that I bought from GM are completely yellow. They are rated 90 lbs. @1.8" seat pressure and 280 lbs. @ 1.25" open pressure, with a max .570" lift.

i checked the sticky at the top and it looks like they are infact the 03+ LS6.. so its .580 lift..

thanks for the info on the retainers.
