Default Valve cover oil baffles really necessary?

When i changed over to 241 heads, i bought some valve covers off a board member and they dont have the oil baffles underneath. Is it really important to have those baffles cause the dealer wont sell them seperate so i'd have to buy a whole new pair of valve covers. I have the LS6 PCV system and dont really seem to be getting much oil in my tb/intake anyway.

I know some guys modify or remove them to fit aftermarket rockers so i dont think they are that important but figured i'd ask.
